favorite show #1 -- the flying house

starting today i will list down and blog about my favorite shows, especially cartoons in no particular order. hopefully the web could churn out a lot of info about these shows so as to refresh me and other readers who may happen to drop by this page by accident.

let me start with the old ones. first on the list would be the flying house. good thing there is an article about this show on wikipedia and animenewsnetwork. i believe it was aired every weekend morning at gma-7 along side with superbook. personally i prefer the flying house because hello, it is a flying house capable of time travel!

the story started when three kids namely justin, angie and corky sought shelter in the house where professor bumble and his robot, sir (solar ion robot, one word: asteg!) accommodated them. surprisingly there is a time machine inside the flying house which was then triggered by sir after being struck by lightning. the house flew and went back in time...of the new testament where the kids got to meet jesus, his apostles and other interesting characters along the way.

what i liked about the flying house is how it conveyed the "good news" in a way that was not preachy which is very appropriate in catechism classes. each moral was evident so it was easily-grasped. it made me want to know more about the faith too by actually reading other books and the text itself. it reminded me that once i was really a good kid. heehee.
